You dint pose for a click, sitting there on that green patch,

the smell coaxed you here or was there a thorn in the thatch?

“These are sour grapes” you declared when you couldn’t catch

and your scheme to get hold of a bunch dint hatch!!

Are you alone here or do you have a batch?

If yes, this little number of grapes I can’t match!

In response to Three line tales. Thanks for hosting, Sonya

Please omit the last line for this prompt attempt. Because, that makes it four lines 🙆‍♀️

In response to Saturday Mix – Rhyme Time, 19 September 2020. Thanks for hosting it, Sarah. I couldn’t miss attempting this as I love to rhyme in my poetry. I had to use the words batch, catch, hatch, match, patch, thatch in my composition.

I have used “thatch” here in context to a lawn and not the roof. And the “sour grapes” is in reference to the story we heard as kids “The fox and the grapes” I have imagined our photographer here, relaxing on the ground with a bunch of grapes in his hand, to coax our fox.

Thanks for reading. Feedback most welcome 😊
