Bedbugs!

Not again ! These pesky creatures

On my children’s blood they feast!

Drowning them each in water,

Want them all deceased !

Ruthlessly I captured them

They wiggled between my finger!

Carefully I put them in water,

Dint notice my concerned daughter.

Tears I saw in my child’s eyes

She saw my cavalier attitude !

“You may have killed a mother there,

Her orphaned babies would brood!”

Note : A trial. I’m not sure if it fits the prompt appropriately. Feedback most welcome 😊

The story behind : This just happened last month. Saw a few rashes on my daughter’s hands and I checked the beds! Saw these nasty creatures and I knew how hard it is to get rid of it. If I kill it , by beating , and in case it was carrying eggs, then the eggs won’t die and may hatch in few days . So I had to drown it in water, the pest control guy had told us last time ! I asked my daughter to get some water in a jar and I began the process of eliminating these insects ! My daughter saw them drown and started crying !! she told me I am killing a mommy or a daddy ! 🤭😟

I explained that these are insects and trouble us by biting us through the night. We have to tackle before it goes out of control . The answer dint convince her much though ! 🙆‍♀️
